Science vs Spirit? (Download complete article HERE)
The other day I was surprised to see an article in the Guardian (a liberal mainstream newspaper in the UK) saying that Richard Dawkins was named the ‘world’s top thinker’ in a poll from Prospect magazine. Apparently Prospect listed whom they consider to be the 65 most influential scientists and economists, and asked their readers to vote; they selected Richard Dawkins as #1. What?!
As we all know, Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist who first came to prominence with the publication of The Selfish Gene in 1976. Since then he has published twelve books in total, mostly along the lines of science vs. spirit. I don’t dispute Dawkin’s scientific training, but he is best known for his virulent atheism (along with Christopher Hitchens, who died last year). Both consider religion a poisonous hoax, and regard atheism as the mark of an independent mind.
Bombings at the Boston Marthon (Download complete article HERE)
We all experienced a sadly familiar sense of shock and horror when we read or saw that two bombs went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Of course, it’s too early to know what or how or why; at this point, it’s all about images and anguish, sorrow for those on the scene and shock for the rest of us observing the media reports.
Death and Taxes (Download complete article HERE)
Oooh, it’s that inevitable time of year again… not death, hopefully, but taxes. In the US, most people’s taxes are due on April 15th, so it’s a good day to stay away from the Post Office.
We all have an ambivalent relationship with taxes in particular and taxation in general. We want the benefits like roads and school, but have mixed feelings about defense spending (depending on your viewpoint) and definitely distrust the way politicians make decisions about government spending. There are also groups that sincerely believe that the Internal Revenue Service is a private corporation (actually a trust) that has no legal right to take our money.
Is the Pope Catholic? (Download complete article HERE)
These are exciting times for the Roman Catholic Church. Maybe you’re not a Catholic, or even a believer in God, so why is this important? Because there are 1.2 billion Catholics in the world, making it one of the most influential cultural-social-religious groups out there. The direction of the RC Church has an impact on everyone, like it or not.
Lent: Time for Spring Cleaning (Download complete article HERE)
In the Christian churches, Lent is the period of penance and prayer running up to Easter. It’s intended to prepare you for the Easter and its annual cycle of sacrifice and renewal. In 2013, Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on February 17, and of course it ends at Easter. In New Orleans and Rio, they celebrate Mardi Gras (‘fat Tuesday’) as one last hurrah before settling into the fasting and whatnot.
Everyday Miracles (Download complete article HERE)
If (like most people) you grew up in some kind of religion, you probably have a picture of miracles as something that happened long ago and far away. In the Judeo-Christian tradition, we see God creating plagues to get the tribes of Israel released from Egypt, followed up by parting the Red Sea to allow them to escape the pursuing Egyptians. In the New Testament, Jesus heals the sick, cures the lame, and restores the blind, deaf, mute and possessed to their senses. Other traditions also have miracles to report, especially at the beginning…
The Fiscal Cliff (Download complete article HERE)
We are all hearing so much about the Fiscal Cliff, and it is something we need to be concerned about – though preferably not to the point of hysteria. There are four things that you really need to know in order to meet this financial challenge with ease and grace…
Passion 1-2-3 (Download complete article HERE)
Recently I’ve been offering free workshops to switch on your passion. As I’ve taught the basics over and over, I realized that there are only three steps to (at least) get you moving in the direction of your passionate life. Are you ready? Let’s go; it’s as easy as 1-2-3
Your Inner Movies (Download complete article HERE)
Ah, the movies… a multi-billion dollar industry, and a fount of entertainment, politics, culture and drama. In the US, going to the movies is an important part of family time, intellectual stimulation and romantic ritual. There is such a broad spread of movies available these days that you’d think that watching them would be a fairly neutral activity.
Ain't It Awful (Download complete article HERE)
As a culture, we seem to love gathering in groups to whine and moan about whatever we don’t care for in the world. On the phone, in person, by email, on Facebook – we love seeing the worst in our families, partners, bosses, politics or life in general. We call it ‘being realistic’ without considering what our reactions create in the greater energies of the universe.
Valentine’s Day for Beginners (Download complete article HERE)
Oooooh, here it comes again: Valentine’s Day.
Hopefully you have a sweetheart and some experience with romantic gestures. In that case, you probably don’t need to read any further because you’ve got it handled. But for those of us who have not experienced Valentine’s Day for a while, or don’t feel confident about how to proceed, here are some hints and tips to make your V-Day smoother and more successful
Hues and Humor – Activating to the God Force in You (Download complete article HERE)
How do you know you are connected to the God of your being? Through color and laughter! I know it doesn’t look obvious, but there is a reason that hues (colors) and humor (laughter) sound similar: because ‘Huw’ is an ancient word for God.
According to www.wikipedia.com, “In Sufism Hu or Huwa is the pronoun used with Allah or God, and is used as a name of God. Allah Hu means "God, Just He!" In Arabic Allah means God and with Hu, as an intensive added to Allah, means "God himself." Hu is also found in the Islamic credo La Ilaha Ila Allah Hu, meaning "There is no god but He".” (In Judaism we also say, “the Master of the Universe, Blessed be He”.)
Starting Anew (Download complete article HERE)
Here we are coming up to a new year, and many people are thinking about the changes and improvements they want to make. However, the first of January is not the only day we think about making a fresh start, complete with new goals and (hopefully) a reboot in perspective.
You are already renewing yourself every day, week, month and year. In the human body, your liver cells are replaced every year, brain cells last seven years, and skin cells are replicated every week. From a physical perspective, you are born anew every seven years. Some of us cycle through several different careers in the course of 40 or 50 years spent working.
The Fallow Season… Time to Rest and Reset Your Life (Download complete article HERE)
If you’re like me, you get all fired up for the holidays – or maybe all stressed up, depending on your circumstances. Family, friends, gifts given and received, shopping and making food for the multitudes… it’s a lot to deal with. And even if you like Thanksgiving, Hanukah, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, there’s a natural tendency to feel let down afterwards. No matter how successful, we all get to experience post-performance letdown.
I suspect that, as a society, we place such a premium on action and growth that we forget that we also live by cycles. That’s a universal law, and therefore inescapable. We see this in the pattern of day and night, the four seasons and the stages of human life. Everything in the biosphere follows its own cycle of birth, growth, maturation and death. Even stars and galaxies coalesce, expand (sometimes explode) and die away again. So why do we struggle so hard when activity stops and our way is not clear? Why do we find it such a challenge to simply let go and lie fallow for a season?
It’s That Time of Year Again! (Download complete article HERE)
Ah, New Year’s resolutions: we’ve all made and lost them. This is the year that…
1. Get thinner/fitter/happier.
2. Do more/different work, with more clients.
3. Really clean up the garage/bedroom/kitchen.
4. Exercise more… and so on.
I’m sure you’ve done this plenty of times yourself – especially at this time of year – and even carried out your resolutions for a week or two. And then I’ll bet they petered out… or your encountered too much temptation in the other direction… or circumstances changed in some way that overrode all your best intentions. Does this sound familiar?
Surviving the Holidays 101 (Download complete article HERE)
Do you look forward to the holidays – making, buying and wrapping presents, cooking a great dinner, having all your friends and family round? Or does the approach of Thanksgiving, Hanukkah or Christmas make your heart sink, your bank account faint, and your stomach feel like lead.
True Giving (Download complete article HERE)
Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year’s and possibly Valentine’s Day… ‘tis the season to be giving. On the one hand, yippee! I love both giving and receiving. On the other hand, I can’t help feeling exhausted in advance with all the shopping, money, stress and time required to fulfill what I have imposed on myself as my holiday duty.
Gift Giving made Easy (Download complete article HERE)
Here we are again, in a ricochet between Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hanukkah (and if you have a spouse or sweetheart, on to Valentine’s Day). If you are like me and most of my friends, part of your copious spare time is spent making mental or written lists of what you want to give to whom. The commercial world counts on your feeling guilty enough to buy something for everyone you have ever met in your life – or at least, that’s what it feels like sometimes.
What the heck is Geotran? (Download complete article HERE)
What if you could tap into the language of the universe? What would your world look like if you could let go of self-sabotage, had more focus on what you want to create, and were able to access your own genius?
The Missing Link to Business Success! (Download complete article HERE)
I know lots of business people, and many of them are more and more successful, which is great for them, and very encouraging for me, too, because my job is to help people create the life and business of their dreams.
However, a lot of people get to a certain point and then plateau – they feel a little stuck, a little bored or frustrated – or possibly very frustrated or angry. They look for business programs that wtill help, and sometimes they do. They seek out coaches and mentors who can give them advice and support, and that helps as well. If you’re reading this, I can pretty much guarantee that you’ve tried a lot of ways to be more successful, both in your life and your job or business. (Download transcript - HERE)
THE MISSING LINK #1: PASSION (Download complete article HERE)
What is passion? Dictionary definitions include “a powerful emotion, such as love, joy, hatred, or anger; ardent love; strong sexual desire; lust; the object of such love or desire; boundless enthusiasm or the object of such enthusiasm; an abandoned display of emotion, especially of anger”, and so on.
THE MISSING LINK #2: PURPOSE (Download complete article HERE)
What is purpose? Dictionary definitions include “something set up as an object; an end to be attained; a subject under discussion or an action in the course of execution; determination or resolution the matter at hand or the point at issue.” In short, purpose means ‘what you are here to do’ – and that is always connected to your passions! This means that you get through God School by doing what you love. It doesn’t have to be a struggle; you get to do what you’re here to do – to take your place in the circle of life – and have a great time doing it!
THE MISSING LINK #3: POSITION (Download complete article HERE)
Are you feeling bored, frustrated or depressed when you look at your business? Do you wonder if there is some easier way to create your dreams, or whether you are doomed to stay stuck and struggling?
THE MISSING LINK #4: PRODUCTIVITY (Download complete article HERE)
Are you feeling stuck or paralyzed in your life or business? Do you spend way too much time on the internet, reading your email, drinking coffee or the equivalent because you just can’t focus on work? The fact is that many people are slackers and drifters, with mediocre lives…
The MISSING LINK #5: PEACE OF MIND (Download complete article HERE)
Are you feeling anxious about your work, your family, or life in general? Do you find it hard to make decisions because there is too much buzzing around in your brain? Do you spend a lot of time looking back at situations that upset you and keep you off-balance? Do you have the same thoughts going round and round all the time – especially when you want to sleep? It’s time to reset your peace of mind!
The Computers in You (Download complete article HERE)
Have you ever wondered how humans work? Well, here’s a brief picture…
Computers are made in the image of people, just as people are made in the image of God. Every creation is a self-portrait of its creator. So although you are not limited to the mechanical functions of computers, you work in a similar way. Of course, you are also your own programmer, as well as being the hardware, the data and software that runs those programs.
Are you 100% You (Download complete article HERE)
Have you ever found yourself doing or saying something that is just not ‘you’? Well, you probably have contaminations from other people that are just not compatible with your inner bio-computers. It’s like trying to run a Mac program in a PC computer, and your computers are trying to work when there are conflicting instructions.
Your Divine Blueprint (Download complete article HERE)
Wouldn’t it be great to know what you are here to do, be and have? Well, it’s certainly possible to find out – not by looking outside for help, guidance and information, but by looking inside to discover your inner records
Divine Law (Download complete article HERE)
The universe and everything in it follows universal law – and that means you, as well. Here’s the main thing you need to know – in fact, here’s this entire concept in a nutshell: Universal or divine law applies to everyone, without exception.
Holarchies (Download complete article HERE)
From the holomovement you will recall the idea of ‘holons’ and ‘holarchies’. When American philosopher/writer Ken Wilber examined systems of psychological development, he noticed that while their expressions might be diffferent, they had similar structures.
God School (Download complete article HERE)
If you went to college or university, you probably have a picture of classes, notes, reading, all-night study sessions, exams, and exhaustion, interspersed with drinking, parties, sex and loafing off. The relative proportions vary according to your particular tastes, of course, but those are normal activities at college.

Muscle Testing (Download complete article HERE)
Muscle testing or kinesiology is what we use as a testing mechanism that allows us to discern clear Yes or No answers directly from the person’s body intelligence. This is a wonderful way of rising above what you think and feel to get a clear answer from your field – which knows much more than your conscious mind.
Holomovement (Download complete article HERE)
The universe, as Douglas Adams says, is mind-bogglingly big. At the same time, it can be bounded in a teacup. Because we are able to perceive only what we see as solid mass, we tend not to realize that solidity is really a grid of lightly glued particles teeming with information, separated by space. Or perhaps another way of putting it is that the universe is a multi-dimensional grid of information, lightly studded with particles.
Intelligence (Download complete article HERE)
Intelligence is what sets us apart from other animals on this planet, so it is a crucial part of your human life. Intelligence can apply to mentation, emotion, your will and your beliefs. There is even such a thing as social intelligence. What does this mean in terms of how you live your life?
Obedience (Download complete article HERE)
Obedience! Now here’s a concept many people have trouble with! Yet obedience is pretty simple and painless, once you realize what it actually means. In my world, every person has a divine blueprint, which your eternal self agreed with God (or divine intelligence) before you ever came into body.
Soul (Download complete article HERE)
There is a lot of misinformation about the Soul. Contrary to popular opinion, the Soul is NOT the eternal part of your system, nor is the highest level at which to live and learn. In fact, your Soul is full of blocks and confusion, and at the same time it believes it is the boss of your life. So what’s going on?
Spirit (Download complete article HERE)
Many people, both spiritual and religious, have some confusion between Spirit and the Soul. They are not the same! The Soul is NOT the eternal part of your system… that is the Spirit, which is already redeemed. (For more about the Soul, read the article What is the Soul?) As much as possible, you want to be living in Spirit, which is the best level at which to live, learn, and have fun on this planet.
Human Energy System (Download complete article HERE)
Imagine for a moment that you come in three layers. In order of frequency (highest to lowest) we find Spirit at the top, Soul in the middle, and Body at the bottom. The Spirit is your God connection, or inner light. Your spirit is already aligned with God.
Past-Present-Future (Download complete article HERE)
Stop for a moment and think about your day. If you’re honest with yourself, what per-cent of the time were you reviewing some thought or feeling in the past, or anticipating some event, feeling or thinking yet to come? What percent are you really in the Now?
